DWC ARENA
Dark Wardens Corp hosts a bi-weekly fight club hosted by Company Head 'Asura Cronus', with referee assistance from Wata Kashiame, and other Warden staff members. Once a month we lower our wards, and people from all over are welcome to enter our arenas to try their hand in combat against other travelers or our Prestige Fighters. Defeat a Prestige Fighter and get your name and photo in our Hall of Fame!
Combat Rules
(In Character)
• No maiming or killing attacks, your motive should be to disarm or defeat.• Respect your opponent; no name calling, xenophobia, or being a sore loser.• When the match is over, a restorative miasma will be applied to the arena. If you get aether sick from magical healing, you MUST advise our staff beforehand.• DWC is not liable for aether sickness, dismemberment, hospitalization or death as a result of fighting in our arena. We have rules strictly against it, but you never know when some idiot will try to break those rules.
Combat Rules
(Out of Character)
• DWC uses an HP/Stamina system. Both fighters start with <700 HP> at the beginning of the match.• During the first round, both fighters roll /random to determine <INITIATIVE>, with the higher rolling player going first.• Attacking player writes their attack in /sh <SHOUT CHAT> then rolls /random.• Defending player rolls /random. If they roll lower then they are hit. If they roll higher, they defend.• Defender now becomes the attacker and the process repeats.• Failed defenses are subtracted from the attack, and the resulting damage is removed from <HP>.• For example, if an Attacker rolls 500, and the Defender rolls 200, the Defender loses 300 HP.• All matches include a 'Safety Net' that prevent player <HP> from dropping more than 350 during the first round. Both players are guaranteed at least one emote round each.• It is entirely possible to be defeated in a single hit, if the Attack/Defense difference is greater than 700.• At the end of the match both fighters will be healed. Please exit the arena quickly.• Matches have a HARD TIME LIMIT of 30 minutes, at which point the player with the highest HP wins.
Prestige Fighters
• In addition to our REGULAR fights each venue night, we also have what we call PRESTIGE FIGHTS where you can challenge one of our expert hunters to a duel.• Prestige fights are intentionally biased against guests, but also entirely optional. If you elect to a Prestige fight you are consenting to having the odds pit against you.• Each prestige fighter has their own unique BONUS which you will have to contend with. Otherwise, normal rules apply.• If you defeat a prestige fighter, your name and a screenshot, will be added to our hall of fame to be immortalized on the DWC website for eternity!

Unique Skills
The Sincerest Form of Flattery [The Grin] - Prestige will mimic the Special Skill of any chosen OTHER Prestige for the duration of the match.Ultra Violent [The Demon] - Every successful attack adds an additional attack roll on the next turn up to a max of three. Rolls are not cumulative, and a single defense could block all three.Healer [The White] - At the start of every Attack Round the Prestige gains +50 HP.Shadow Striker [The Shadow] - Prestige rolls 2x for attack rolls, counted individually, with no reduction.Flame Cage [The Bear] – Players take damage from being knocked back into arena walls that increases by 50 points of damage on every successful attack, up to a maximum of 200.Dance Magenta [The Magi] - Every three turns Prestige rotates forms with different bonuses. Red Mage has Dualcast (2x Attack Rolls), Summoner has Radiant Aegis (+100 Defense), Black Mage has Leylines (+100 Attack).Abyssal Claimant [The Abyss] – Every failed defense roll adds +100 to attack rolls up to a cap of +300.Free Weights [The Knight] – By dropping excessive training weights, the Prestige moves faster, allowing them to roll twice for dodges and then pick the higher roll for a defense.Attack Dog Activate [The Wolf] - Rolls less than 400 are discarded, but rolls 400+ gain a +200 Bonus to a maximum of 1000.Frosinn Úlfur [The Aegis] - Takes any ONE attack roll made and ‘freezes it’ to be saved until a time of the prestige’s choosing.
Generic Skills
Full Health - Prestige has their maximum HP set to 1000, instead of 700.Safety Off - Prestige can OHKO their opponent in the first round.Always Initiative - Prestige will always attack first, and there will be NO initiative rolls.Double Striker / Dualcast - Prestige rolls 2x for attack rolls, counted individually, and reduced by -100.Double Defender - Prestige rolls 2x for defense rolls, counted individually, and reduced by -100.Heavy Attacker / Leylines - Prestige gains a flat +100 bonus to all attack rolls.Heavy Defender / Radiant Aegis - Prestige gains a flat +100 bonus to all defense rolls.Smol Build - Prestige starts at 500 HP but has +200 to all Defense RollsGlass Cannon - Prestige starts at 500 HP but has +200 to all Attack RollsDouble Edge - Once per fight Prestige can add a bonus of +100, +200, or +300 to any attack rolls (without exceeding 1000), but they take equal that bonus roll as HP Damage.Holmgang – Prestige HP stops at 1 for any attack that would instantly defeat them.Living Dead – Upon defeat the Prestige gains 2 additional attack rounds as a 'Last Chance' to defeat their opponent first.Hallowed Ground – Prestige can activate during ANY defensive roll, nullifying all damage for 2 rounds.Superbolide – Prestige HP drops to 1, but they remain invincible for 2 rounds.Blood Bath – Any damage the Prestige deals is used to heal at 50% the value.
Emergency Cure – Once per fight Prestige can heal themselves for 300 HP on any successful defense.Gambling Counter - Why not have fun? Any defense is turned to a [/dice 2] coin flip. On tails [1] you receive half damage, but on heads [2] you nullify the damage taken and deal 100 back.Gambling Fallacy - You bet on yourself so hard, you're willing to give your opponent all the turns. You lose your attack turn, but all SUCCESSFUL defenses are [/dice 2] a coinflip: On tails [1] you receive half damage; on heads [2] you nullify the damage taken and deal 300 back.Chō-Han - A technique from the Far East. When rolling odds, gain +100 to the next attack; when rolling even, gain +100 to the next defense. Max +200, the bonus resets when said roll is made.Puffy Brume - Every attack missed creates smoke which makes the user harder to see. +100 to defense, up to +300.Momentum - When succeeding an Attack roll, gain +50 to Attack. When succeeding a defense roll, gain +50 to Defense. They have no limit, but you can only have one active. Failing a respective roll, resets the bonus.Storyteller - Each successful roll in a row tells a different part in a three part story, and each one adds a stackable +100 to the next roll. This bonus resets on the first miss.Tank Stance – Reduces all HP Damage by a flat 50 points.Arcane Circle – Reduces HP Damage of a failed defense by 50 points, then heals 50 HP for two turns after.Manaward – Reduces Damage taken by 100, but subtracts 200 damage from the next successful attack. Can only be used once per match.Flare – Increases Attack Damage by 200, but reduces HP by an additional 100 on the next failed defense. Can only be used once per match.
